How It Works – The Roving Way
Shooting Without the Stress
We’ve stripped away the barriers that keep many people from enjoying driven shooting. No annual memberships. No need to fill an entire team. No luxury overheads. Just well-run days that put the focus back on sport and camaraderie.
Here’s how it works:
-
Book by the Peg
Join as a solo Gun, a pair, or a small group. We’ll handle the rest.
-
Flexible Dates & Locations
Our calendar covers estates from Cornwall to Caithness and beyond into Europe. Pick the dates that work for you.
-
Sport, Not Show
Our estates are chosen for the quality of their shooting, not the colour of their tablecloths. Expect pasties and laughter in barns, not lobster under chandeliers.
-
Community Spirit
You’ll meet Guns who value the same things you do: countryside, tradition, and a day well spent outdoors. Many come alone and leave with new friends.
-
Simple & Transparent
What you see is what you get. Bag sizes, prices, food, and format are clearly set out for every day.
The Roving Syndicate is for people who want to shoot more, stress less, and enjoy sport the way it should be.

Upcoming Roving Days

Roving Days for 2025/2026

We’re always adding new dates to the Roving Syndicate calendar, with fresh opportunities across the UK and Europe throughout the season. To make sure you never miss out, sign up for our shoot newsletter and be the first to hear about upcoming days, last-minute availability, and exclusive syndicate opportunities.

Who We Are
The Roving Syndicate was created by Samual Gittings, founder of Gittings Sporting. After years of organising high-end days for teams of clients, Sam saw a gap in the market: opportunities for individuals and small groups to enjoy the same quality of shooting without the full-team pressure or inflated costs.
The Roving Syndicate is built on three principles:
-
Accessibility – anyone can book, no membership needed
-
Community – meeting and shooting with like-minded people
-
Authenticity – days that focus on sport and tradition, not excess
-
What began as a handful of days with friends has grown into a travelling programme across the UK and Europe. But the ethos remains the same: honest sport, organised properly, shared with people who love the countryside.
If you’d rather have a pasty in a barn with friends than silver service under chandeliers, you’re in the right place.
